AI Parameter Recommendation | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
A CNC wire saw machine uses a continuously looping diamond wire to cut hard stone, concrete, and ceramic materials with ±1mm precision. Unlike a bridge saw, it handles blocks of virtually any thickness — cutting depth is limited only by wire length — and executes full 3D contours, curved surfaces, and complex profiles that no blade-based machine can match.
For 3D stone profiling — sculptures, architectural columns, fireplaces, custom stone décor — the Diamond Wire Saw Machine Pro is the highest-performance choice. Its 5-axis control, heavy-duty Italian-style columns, and gear-driven lateral extension reduce cutting vibration, lower wire breakage rates, and maintain precision over years of heavy use. This is the right machine if you're cutting granite, marble, or basalt into complex shapes and can't afford surface defects or rework.
For standard 3D profiling — monuments, stone decorations, regular architectural shapes — the Diamond Wire Saw Machine covers all the same applications at a lower investment point. It uses the same ±1mm precision and supports the same range of stone types; the difference is in structural rigidity and the closed-loop wire option.
For block squaring and preparation — trimming large rough blocks before multi-wire saw processing — the Stone Block Cutting Wire Saw Machine is purpose-built. Its 31% stress-reduction structural design keeps cuts stable on oversized blocks up to 5.0 × 3.3 × 2.3m, giving downstream multi-wire saws a perfect flat entry face.
For tombstone and memorial stone mass production, the CNC Diamond Wire Saw Machine (Tombstone Edition) cuts 9 pieces per cycle. If your operation runs on volume — headstones, cemetery projects, memorial stones — this machine directly multiplies your daily output without adding labor.
For high-volume kerbstone cutting on municipal road and infrastructure projects, the Kerbstone Diamond Wire Saw Cutting Machine handles up to 400mm cutting depth for thick blocks and is optimized for curved kerbstone profiles used in road edging.
For lightweight and soft materials — foamed ceramics, EPS foam, GRC panels, cement board, and insulation materials — the CNC Diamond Wire Saw for Foamed Ceramics runs at up to 1,000mm/min with a purpose-built cooling system designed for low-density, heat-sensitive materials.
Material hardness directly affects which configuration you need:
For cutting granite wire saw applications specifically, the Pro model's gear transmission outperforms column-slide designs on long-run stability.
Every Dinosaw CNC wire saw includes our AI Parameter System, trained on 200,000+ stone-cutting data points. Input material type and cut width — the system recommends every parameter automatically. New operators are typically running independently within 3–5 days. No waiting for a senior engineer to come on-site for weeks of training.
The closed-loop wire system (standard on the Pro and Foamed Ceramics editions, optional on others) eliminates splice joints — the #1 cause of wire breakage and unplanned downtime on conventional CNC diamond wire saw machines.

Which type Multi Wire Saw Fits Your Slab Production?
First, the feed type decision:
| Up-Feed (DS-U series) | Downward Feed (DS-D series) | |
|---|---|---|
| How it works | Worktable rises into the wire web | Wire web descends onto fixed block |
| Best for | High-value marble, jade, limestone, surface quality priority | Thin slabs, high-volume standardized stone |
| Surface quality | Superior (Ra2.0) | Good |
| Wire consumption | Standard | Up to 60% lower than up-feed |
| Choose if… | Surface finish directly affects your sale price | You run tight margins and wire cost is a key variable |
Then, the model:
| DS-U-G1212 | DS-U-G3220 | DS-U-G3623 | DS-D-G3412 | DS-D-G3623 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Feed type | Up-feed | Up-feed | Up-feed | Downward | Downward |
| Best for | Entry-level marble / specialty stone (jade, onyx) | Mid-size marble & granite slab production | High-volume large-format slab output | High-volume standardized granite, thin slabs | Maximum downward-feed capacity |
| Max block size | 1,200×1,200×1,200mm | 3,200×2,300×2,200mm | 3,600×2,300×2,300mm | 3,400×1,200×2,300mm | 3,600×2,300×2,300mm |
| Motor power | 60kW×4 | 60kW×4 | 90kW×4 | 64kW×4 | 64kW×4 |
| Wire diameter | 0.3–0.8mm | 0.3–0.8mm | 0.3–0.8mm | 0.35–0.8mm | 0.35–0.8mm |
| Machine weight | 35t | 58t | 65t | 38t | 40t |
| Monthly output target | < 500 slabs | 500–2,000 slabs | > 2,000 slabs | High-volume granite | Maximum downward capacity |
| Choose if… | Starting out or cutting small/precious blocks | Balanced marble or granite operation | You need the most slabs per block at the largest scale | Wire cost matters more than surface finish | Largest downward-feed block capacity |
A multi wire saw machine — also called a super thin multi-wire stone cutting machine or multiwire saw — cuts large stone blocks into multiple uniform-thickness slabs in a single pass, using a "wire web" of many parallel diamond wires running at 30–35m/s. Each wire is guided over precision-grooved main rollers; the groove spacing directly sets the finished slab thickness.
Compared to a traditional gang saw, the advantages are significant: kerf width is just 0.5mm (vs. 4–5mm), yielding 20–30% more slabs per block; energy use is 50% lower (1.38 kW/m² vs. 3.33 kW/m²); noise stays under 80 dB vs. 110–130 dB; and floor space is reduced by 30% thanks to the compact M-type structure.
Dinosaw offers two multi-wire saw configurations: up-feed (U series) and downward feed (D series). This is the most important choice you'll make.
Up-feed (U series): The worktable lifts the stone block upward into the wire web. More stable cutting quality, lower maintenance requirements, and better surface finish (Ra2.0). Best for high-value marble, large blocks, and operations where surface quality directly affects sale price.
Downward feed (D series): The wire web moves down onto the fixed stone block. Reduces wire-threading time and cuts diamond wire consumption by up to 60%. Better for smaller blocks, thin-slab production, and operations that run high-volume standardized orders.
Up-feed series (DS-U):
| Model | Max Block Size | Main Motor | Total Power | Wire Diameter | Machine Weight | Footprint (L×W×H) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| DS-U-G1212 | 1,200×1,200×1,200mm | 60kW×4 | 300kW | 0.3–0.8mm | 35t | 8,330×5,363×5,200mm |
| DS-U-G3220 | 3,200×2,300×2,200mm | 60kW×4 | 300kW | 0.3–0.8mm | 58t | 9,640×6,170×6,600mm |
| DS-U-G3623 | 3,600×2,300×2,300mm | 90kW×4 | 400kW | 0.3–0.8mm | 65t | 10,150×6,500×6,600mm |
| Model | Max Block Size | Main Motor | Total Power | Wire Diameter | Machine Weight | Footprint (L×W×H) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| DS-D-G3412 | 3,400×1,200×2,300mm | 64kW×4 | 270kW | 0.35–0.8mm | 38t | 8,900×6,400×5,300mm |
| DS-D-G3623 | 3,600×2,300×2,300mm | 64kW×4 | 270kW | 0.35–0.8mm | 40t | 9,200×7,500×5,300mm |
All models share: max wire speed 35m/s, wire tension 0–260N (U series) / 0–300N (D series), roller diameter options φ350/φ400/φ450mm, main spindle 280mm×8 pcs, control system Inovance/INVT.
The wire web uses diamond wires with a carbon steel or specialty alloy core. Choosing the right wire diameter matters:
| Wire Diameter | Best For | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 0.55mm (Wear-Resistant) | Travertine, Magnolia White, Carrara White, Saana Beige, Turkey Silver Grey, Colombia White | Medium-soft stone; also works for engineered stone |
| 0.55mm (Sharp-Cutting) | Blue Sandstone, Snowflake White, Impression Grey, Big Flower White, Amazon Green, Fendi White | Medium-hard and light-luxury stone |
| 0.60mm | Hard marble varieties | Higher tension capability |
| 0.65mm | Hard marble, harder natural stone | Carbon steel core, ≥215N breaking force |
| 0.80mm | Hard luxury stone, granite | ≥400N breaking force |
Groove spacing on the main rollers determines slab thickness. Common configurations using 0.55mm wire:
The machine supports one-click switching between thick and thin slab configurations — useful for fulfilling mixed orders without changing the entire roller setup.
The DS series machines are large. Before ordering, confirm:

A quarry wire saw machine cuts stone directly from the rock face using a looping diamond wire, operating at vertical, horizontal, or angled orientations — no blasting required. Blast-free extraction eliminates micro-cracks inside the block, which is the single biggest factor in block market value. Intact blocks command a significant premium over blast-extracted material.
For open-face marble quarries, the KSSJ-M series (37–90kW) runs at up to 50m/s wire speed. Higher speed means faster cutting through softer stone. The 90kW top model handles the largest single cuts and produces the biggest blocks per extraction cycle.
For granite quarries and hard stone, the KSSJ-G series (37–110kW) is purpose-built for diamond wire saw for stone applications in hard rock. The 110kW model is the highest-power quarry wire saw in the Dinosaw range, designed for the hardest granite formations. Wire speed on the G series runs 0–30m/s — lower than the M series, but optimized for torque over speed in hard rock.
For tight spaces, irregular terrain, or secondary cutting, the compact tracked KSSJ-M (37–55kW) models offer better site mobility without giving up power. These are also the right choice for narrow quarry benches or high-wall extraction where a large fixed machine can't be positioned.
For on-site trimming, block dressing, or smaller-scale operations, the BXSJ-22 and BXSJ-22PM (both 22kW, 0.40–0.41 tonnes) are fully portable. The BXSJ-22PM adds a laser alignment system and manual ±10° tilt adjustment — essential for precise cuts on uneven ground. Both models are dual-power capable (grid + diesel), making them ideal for remote quarry sites.

Permanent magnet motors deliver high starting torque, full torque across all speeds, 50% energy savings, and double the motor lifespan of conventional induction motors. Real-time current tracking with constant tension control extends diamond wire life — wire consumption is one of the highest recurring costs in quarry operations, so this directly impacts your operating cost per cubic meter of stone.
